The National Highway Safety Administration has recently announced that Volkswagen is going to recall 12,612 Routan minivans because of an ignition fault. It appears to be the same issue that concerned Chrysler's Dodge Grand Caravan and Journey. The engine faces the danger of being shut off as the ignition is likely to inadvertently switch between "run" and "accessory" and thus increasing the risk of a crash.
