Mazda and Honda suspend U.S. orders from Japan-made models
 After a short reopening period, Mazda has taken the decision to suspend all the U.S. orders for Japan-made models. The main reason is that the car manufacturer is shutting its plants after the devastating quake. Jay Amestoy, the automaker's American spokesman officially announced that the decision would affect those shipments of cars that were due to arrive in the U.S. in May. The probable date when the activity at the factory resumes, remains uncertain. Mitsubishi sketches new low cost global small car
 These teasing renderings show for the first time Mitsubishi’s new small car which will soon join the range. The new car is planned to be produced in a new factory which, as far as we know, is currently being built in Thailand and released on sale at the end of next year. 1.0-1.2-liter engines will feature the subcompact hatch, which will make use of a new platform. Mitsubishi plans a plug-in hybrid crossover for 2013
 The year 2013 will host the launch of a Mitsubishi plug-in crossover, as the head of the company’s electric vehicle unit, Yoshikazu Nakamura, officially announced. Although the details released so far are quite poor, Auto Week informs that the model is to be inspired from the Px-MiEV, which had its debut at the 2009 Tokyo Show.
