Range Rover TDV8 is not for the US
According to company insiders, the Range Rover’s new 4.4-litre V8 diesel won't come to the US.The SUV will get a new LR-TDV8 4.4-liter engine, which uses parallel sequential turbocharging to deliver 313 HP and 700Nm torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox (available only on the 4.4-liter LR-TDV8 models) developed by ZF, that allows the Range Rover to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 7.5 seconds. Land Rover LRX to be offered in optional 2 wheel drive version
Land Rover is clearly trying to go on the fuel efficient road, at least since they were taken over by the Indians of Tata Motors.
