Chrysler halts Wrangler production
Chrysler Group LLC announced today that it halted production at the Toledo, Ohio, plants that builds the Jeep Wrangler. The production cancellation is due to a parts shortage caused by storms which struck Mexico shipments, a spokeswoman said."We have an ample supply of Wranglers," said Shawn Morgan, a Chrysler spokeswoman. She also said that Chrysler is weighing different options and has not yet decided whether production at the plant can be resumed on Friday. Ms. Morgan declined to disclose what parts shipments were affected.Chrysler had built a large stock of Wranglers.
