Jaguar`s upcoming superauto rendering
The rumors of some upcoming Jaguar supercar last week caught us really by surprise, we used photos from the 2001 concept unit to come a bit close to this new car vision. AutoExpress magazine has taken now the modern Jaguar look applying it to some mid-engined coupe model specs rumored to be in the R8 fighter by Audi. The new auto should be named the XE, it will be made on a brand new aluminum chassis. This vehicle utilize the recently enlarged V8 5.0-liter engine, making 510 hp at least in supercharged form (it's same from the XFR unit). This auto could make the zero to ...

Jaguar Land Rover cutting 450 jobs and suspend bonuses
Apparently all are rosy now for Jaguar in Detroit at the Auto Show 2009 – having the British carmaker revealing new quality-performance XKR and XFR units – but now Tata-owned, the Jaguar Land Rover group will face some serious problems, with more job cuts rising in the near future.Jaguar Land Rover just announced it will be a 450 cut jobs; the reason being down global economy and collapsing sales. JLR will eliminate around 15 % of the managers – meaning 3 hundred positions – plus another 150 employees cut from the global workforce. So, JLR employs globally around 15,000 workers, reported Reuters. Jaguar therefor eliminated ...

XFR is the fastest Jaguar ever
Back on the 90s at the beginning, the XJ220 from Jaguar was considered indeed a supercar. Its engine (500 hp) made it therefor the fastest Jaguar auto ever build with a 1992 maximum speed run - 217.1 mph. Flash forward now 17 years after, that record is getting shattered by some sedan. Jag is taking its all-new XFR to Bonneville Salt Flats recording a 225.675mph maximum speed. The XFR runs with a V8 5.0-litre engine making 510 hp plus 625Nm torque. But Jaguar admit the record had minor safety and aerodynamic changes to meet all the requirements for the Bonneville run, additional horsepower too was then ...

Porsche starts the Cayenne diesel production
The Jaguar XF model has been available having a diesel powerplant right from its debut in Europe last year, but the asthmatic oil burner 2.7L did not do that much for the performance image of the Jag. However, Jaguar`s looking now to correct all its mistake plus will offer the 2010 XF featuring a brand new diesel engine. So, the new V6 twin-turbo diesel unit displaces 3.0L offering a healthy energy boost over that outgoing engine. On base form this new engine is developing 240 horsepower and in ‘S’ the diesel model puts out 275 horsepower. Horsepower is just part of that equation as S trim ...

Jaguar XKR-S review
There`s some expectation from the market in America when we talk about special edition autos: WE WANT SPEED – and especially when there`s an “S” on the name. This is why Jaguar will not bringing the XKR-S here. The sharpest XK model around the corners maybe, but the XKR-S is sharing its 175 mps maximum speed with the lesser siblings. It is not to say true car enthusiasts from North America do not appreciate this vehicle; it’s only the people having the money for paying extra for this XKR-S would not understand why it is special.Upgrades include dampers front and rear and stiffer springs , ...

2010 XF-R by Jaguar
If Jaguar is really serious about pitting the XF saloon model against the 5-series from BMW and E-Class by Mercedes-Benz, it will have now to expand the lineup beyond the present handful of units. Jaguar has 2 gaping holes currently in its XF area, entry-level unit rivaling the BMW 5-series 2.0L diesel and A6 from Audi in Europe, plus a performance flagship competing with autos like the RS6, M5 and E630.Officials are about to green-light the debut of an all-new base unit but we know there is an area-topping XF-R on the works.
