Chrysler Group LLC announced that it has selected Siemens PLM Software's technology for product design and development. Siemens PLM Software is a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services.Chrysler currently uses parts of the PLM software, named Teamcenter software, Siemens PLM Software's digital lifecycle management solution. Chrysler halts Wrangler production
Chrysler Group LLC announced today that it halted production at the Toledo, Ohio, plants that builds the Jeep Wrangler. The production cancellation is due to a parts shortage caused by storms which struck Mexico shipments, a spokeswoman said."We have an ample supply of Wranglers," said Shawn Morgan, a Chrysler spokeswoman. She also said that Chrysler is weighing different options and has not yet decided whether production at the plant can be resumed on Friday.
