Nissan Leaf survey on battery warranty
 After General Motors has announced a standard eight-year, 100,000-mile warranty for the battery pack in its forthcoming Volt extended-range electric vehicle, Nissan has started to act. 2011 Chevrolet Volt battery to have an eight-year/100,000-miles warranty
 General Motors announced today, during a media briefing at its Brownstown Township, that the lithium ion battery pack for the 2011 Chevrolet Volt would be warranted for eight years or 100,000 miles when it goes on sale later this year.GM noted that the warranty will be transferable at no cost to a new owner should a Volt buyer decide to sell his car.
