The A3 Cabriolet from Audi will be revealed very soon
Carscoop said the Audi A3 Cabriolet 2008 will be revealed next week. And maybe the brand new model will be presented at the end of this month. The A3 Cabriolet 2008 will be have an folding canvas roof (electric). This drop top A3 model will use exactly the same running gear found on the 3door & 5door hatch variants: the 125 Hp 1.4 TSi, 160 Hp 1.8 TSi & 200 Hp 2.0 TFSi units (petrol).An S3 variant is in the works also, powered by the 2.0-litre TFSi unit - 265 hp.

Audi is working on reducing the CO2 emission
For the engineers at Audi from the ERL (`Electronic Research Laboratory`) in California, vehicle-to-vehicle networks represents a major step for reducing carbon dioxide emissions and fuel consumption. Audi has also a strong interest for the traffic optimization. As Mr Ralph Weyler, the Member of the Board for Management for Marketing and Sales - AUDI AG said "In this field we are cooperating with three Californian universities on six research projects". A possible green line for Audi Cross Cabriolet Quattro
Cross Cabriolet quattro from Audi was revealed during the Auto Show in Los Angeles instead of Q5 SUV model that was expected. Audi is seriously thinking of a green line for this concept. Brit Steve Lewis – the design chief for Audi USA, created the Cross Cabriolet model. Speaking at this event, he affirmed: "Such a vehicle has been talked about within Audi for quite some time, because nobody else has ever produced a cabriolet SUV before".

Volvo C50 revealed at the end of this year
The C50 - a five-doors variant of the Volvo C30 which it will be revealed this 2008, competing with Audi A3 Sportback and BMW 1-Series. The C59 model will be on sale in the beginning of 2009, priced at about £500 more than three-door variant. It has the same engines like in the C30: 1.6-litre petrol, 2.5 turbo T5 five-cylinder, an entry-level 100bhp, a range-topping 217bhp.

A drop-top variant of Q5 SUV from Audi
A strange idea or not, Audi may offer us a drop-top variant of its new Q5 baby SUV, inspirated from the Cross Cabriolet Quattro, that`s here also, at the LA Auto Show.Brit Steve Lewis – the design chief for Audi USA claimed: `Such a vehicle has been talked about within the company for some time as no one has ever done a cabriolet SUV before. If there is sufficient demand for around 5,000 units a year it could go into limited production and arrive around 2010`.

Official images of Audi R8 Spider
These images of R8 Spider were found recently. Source claimed they are official R8 pictures, but it`s likely just a photoshop. Anyway, the auto looks amazing! The R8 spider model will be powered by the very same V8 4.2-litre engine (naturally aspirated) found on the RS4 and the R8 tin-top. The highest output is 414 hp.

Audi A1 available in North America
Audi announced that the A1 2009 might be available on the North American market, even if the compact A3 sport wagon model does not sell well in here. `There is absolutely a potential for that kind of vehicle in America` Stadler affirmed during the Tokyo Motor Show. `With the A3, we have demonstrated that we can develop a new segment`.Rupert Stadler – the Audi CEO said that when A1 will go in production in 2009, the United States market could be ready for a luxury auto in the B segment.
