Honda is extending airbag recall on 440,000 autos
 Honda expands a recall made earlier of Accord, Acura TL and Civic cars on a airbag inflator (damaged) which could be sending shrapnel via an inflated airbag. So, this recall is affecting now 440,000 autos. The recall includes a few 2001-2002 Accords, Civics from 2001 and Acura TL sedans 2002-2003. Honda supposedly just recalled around 300,000 later unit Accords but... that was incorrect; the only Accord models affected are the ones between 2001 – 2002.Some injuries and one fatality occurred because of the faulty airbag inflator, said a representative of Honda, nothing new here, the problem existed but it's an expansion of late past year ...

Buick LaCrosse offers four-cylinder 2.4-liter
 Buick just announced that its future LaCrosse 4-door sedan 2010 will be offering a direct-injection, fuel-efficient, 2.4-liter 182-horsepower Ecotec 4-cylinder engine unit. In the city, it's capable of 20 mpg and on the highway - 30 mpg, GM says that the LaCrosse 4-banger will be right among the most efficient in this area.The engine with direct-injection makes 172 lb-ft. torque, at 4,900 rpm. Buick affirms it will be basic on the entry-level CX LaCrosse only. So, the LaCrosse unit will still have the V6 direct-injected 3.0-liter, 255 horsepower, 3.6-liter V6 direct-injected, 280 horsepower.
