Wiesmann is replacing the old V10 with a new V8 engine from BMWWiesmann has confirmed that the old V-10 engine will be replaced by a new BMW twin-turbo 4.4 liter V-8 engine on the MF4 and MF5 models. The Wiesmann MF3 will keep his current 6 cylinder engine as now it comes with Euro 5 emissions. The MF4 will be fitted under the hood with a 4.4 twin-turbo V-8 petrol engine that develops 407 hp (300 kw) from 5,500 rpm to 6,400 rpm. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mp/h (100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 181 mp/h ( 291 km/h). The same 4.4 liter engines will receive the MF5 model but with a tweak from the M-engineers. MF5 will get the same technology treatment as the X5 M and X6 M and will accelerate to 60 mp/h in 3,9 seconds reaching a top speed of 193,2 mp/h ( 311 km/h). The engine from MF5 has 555 hp available from 5,750 rpm to 6,750 rpm and despite the extraordinary power, the average consumption it`s only 10,7 liter per 100 km. The car has now became the most powerfull Wiesmann model of all time. Following the pathway, the GT MF5 will pack the same 4.4 liter engine but with an expected power increase to 585 hp, probably overtaking the curent MF5 top speed.
