Camaro based Pontiac Trans AM concept revealed

The Pontiac Trans Am has got to be one of the most iconic North American cars in history. A lot of companies have tried their best to recreate that special car that made history from the 1970s all the way to the beginning of the 2000s. What we have here is such an attempt. More precisely, we can see a Pontiac Trans Am concept model made by Lingenfelter. The Lingenfelter 455 Pontiac Trans Am takes its inspiration from the 1971 Pontiac Trans Am. Because of that, the Lingenfelter version of the Pontiac Trans Am gets its power from a V8 engine that has a capacity of 455 cubic inch which is the equivalent of 7.5 liters capable of developing 655 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque or the equivalent of 826 Nm of torque. The Lingenfelter Pontiac Trans Am is based on the
Chevrolet Camaro Coupe and will make its public debut during the 2009 edition of the SEMA Show that will take place next month in Las Vegas.
Some of the most important features of the Lingenfelter Pontiac Trans Am include a custom interior which will most likely be inspired by the interior of the 1971 Pontiac Trans Am, a sweet duck tail spoiler, a newly styled fascia, side air vents, a newly styled rear end and 20 inch custom honeycomb style wheels with beefy tires. We can say that the poor
Chevrolet Camaro Coupe got butchered.
If the Lingenfelter Pontiac Trans Am will get the expected feedback then it is quite possible to see the
Chevrolet Camaro Coupe based car in production, even though at the moment the company is denying this and saying that their creation is just a concept for the time being.
