Pontiac dealers from Michigan making offer for the brand

Though GM rejected apparently the 1st offer - investors group led by Jim Waldron, offer made for Pontiac, the Michigan auto dealer affirms he is back having a powerful offer including the factories and the equipment they need to produce Pontiacs.

A Pontiac dealer in Michigan-Davison, Waldron, stated to Mid-Michigan’s NBC-25 that 'GM has a history of building a great, great quality car, and then discontinuing it. So we’re going to try to change that history'.

'I found the financing for it' he said. 'I’ve just got to get GM to agree to do something with it'. However, Jim Hopson - Pontiac spokesman said this month at the beginning that the firm's small dealership stand-alone count, mixed with the lack of unique, rare products makes it very difficult to give, sell off. 'We can not see how it could be a viable business given the fact that it’s so interconnected with the other GM brands' he affirms.
