If for no matter what reason you were thinking of buying a car owned by the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, now the opportunity has risen in front of you, because the Iran’s state television announced the president’s intention of auctioning off his 1977 Peugeot 504 sedan. The money raised from the auctioning will go to the Mehr Housing Plan, thus aiming to provide affordable housing for the families who find it very hard to make a daily living, more exactly tose families with low incomes. The move is a charitable one and as the Iranian Minister of Welfare and Social Security Sadeq Mahsouli officially stated to the press that all the proceeds would be given to charity funds, while the starting price of the international auction would be soon released.
The white Peugeot was used by the president several times during his 2005 election campaign in order to gather some votes fromt the poor voters and the pictures you are to see in the gallery below belong to the Peugeot’s archive as the Iran’s state television did not present any photos of Ahmadinejad’s personal car.
