Nissan is the most affected by the Tsunami

After just four days after the big earthquake struck Japan, the car companies started reporting their losses. This weekend we all saw images of cars being taken by water, or eaten by fire. 2,300 of the destroyed cars belonged to Nissan and Infinity models. Nissan is the most affected by the quake. The financial loss was not announced yet, but it's huge as the cars destroyed were 1,300 Infinity M, Infiniti FX and Infiniti MX and also 1,000 Nissan cars, an undisclosed number of which being 370Z models.
The models were waiting to be shipped to U.S., but the Tsunami delayed the delivery. So far we don't know how this will affect the American customers who were waiting for the cars.
The automotive industry, one of the most powerful in Japan will have a long recovery and this affects everyone, as Japan is not only responsible for the production of cars as parts for the local market, but for other countries as well.
Losses will come from closed factories, destroyed assets, delayed shipping, parts shortages and many others.
