Mitsubishi sketches new low cost global small car

These teasing renderings show for the first time Mitsubishi’s new small car which will soon join the range. The new car is planned to be produced in a new factory which, as far as we know, is currently being built in Thailand and released on sale at the end of next year. 1.0-1.2-liter engines will feature the subcompact hatch, which will make use of a new platform. According to Mitsubishi officials, the "global small" will occupy the position of an entry-level model in MMC’s model lineup, aiming to export the vehicle from Thailand to international markets, without releasing any details regarding the country-specific availability. The upcoming Geneva Salon from March 2011 is most likely to host the presentation of the production version of the low-cost city car.
