Crossover Mini?

According to the head of the brand management, Dr. Wolfgang Armbrecht,
Mini is working on a seven-seat crossover, "We could take the [Countryman's] wheelbase from 2.60 meters (102.4 inches) to around 2.70 meters (106.3 inches)."
The car that will result from this will compete with Nissan Qashqai+2 or Volkswagen Tpuran.
Mini will probably launch the car in America, were it will probably have larger sales than in Europe, as most of the americans are used to large cars.
Mini is working on a lot of other projects, and they are expected to put into to production a version of the Beachcomber concept, a SUV much like the Jeep's Wrangler model.
