The Frankfurt Auto Saloon, scheduled this fall, could mark an important premiere from Maserati. Several publications talk about the possibility of having a descendent of the current Quattroporte sooner than we might think.
Inside the company, the descendent, is named M156 and will have a design inspired from the current Gran Turismo and will keep under the hood the, 4.7-liter, V8 engine ready to give more power, but in the same time the CO2 emissions are reduced.
Plans of the company for the 2013 are to introduce a crossover based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango, which will have exceptional styling and bespoke interior.
In 2015, Maserati will introduce a new sedan, called inside the company again, the M157, which will cost around EUR55,000 and will have a V8 engine.
Maserati hopes to increase its sales in the next period, and planned to sell 20.000 units per year. It's a very optimistic goal, taking into consideration that last year, they sold only 5675 units. To even consider this kind of results, Maserati must first expand, and fast.
