Lamborghini produces Gallardo number 10,000

Lamborghini has announced the 10,000th Lamborghini Gallardo produced, a
LP 560-4 Coupe that marks an important step in the model's life which started back in 2003. The Gallardo becomes the most successful Lamborghini model in the company's illustrious history.
"Production of car number 10,000 is a very important milestone for Lamborghini," said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.
The yellow Midas unit is a LP 560-4 Coupe is powered by a V10 engine through its four-wheel drive. It was launched in 2003, continuing with
Spyder and
Superleggera models as well as special editions such as the Gallardo SE and
Nera.
In 2007, the Italian company presented a revised version called the Gallardo LP 560-4, a more powerful, 552-horsepower 5.2-liter V-10 engine, and even more modern styling. A year later, the Spyder came along, followed by the limited edition two-wheel drive LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni, in 2009.
At Geneva Auto Salon this year Lamborghini presented the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera: a lightweight version of the Gallardo LP 560-4, with a top speed of 325 km/h and acceleration from 0-100 km/h of 3.4 seconds.
"The strength and presence of the Gallardo product has played a significant role in the growth and recognition of our brand," Stephan Winkelmann, a Lamborghini top executive, said.
The 10,000th Lamborghini Gallardo is headed for China where it will be celebrated during the 'Lamborghini Day' in Shanghai, 25th June, where it will showcase eight cars from its super sports car range. After that, it will be delivered to its owner.
