Light Car - Open Source EDAG arriving to Geneva Show

Light Car - Open Source EDAG arriving to Geneva ShowConcept autos are not only for the carmakers. The engineering firms like to wrap sometimes their newest creation on a futuristic body. So, EDAG takes the idea calling it "Light Car - Open Source", it will debut in March at the Geneva Motor Show.

The vehicle's designed to make 150 kilometers (meaning 93 miles) with electric power from the lithium-ion batteries, having motors on each wheel housing. And EDAG didn't give power rating on the auto. We think there's only around a 50/50 shot that this vehicle will have an engine actually when it comes in Geneva. This isn't a half-baked car; but it is likely EDAG's more interested on showing off this (O)LED technology than making this automobile roll on for its own.

"We have transferred today’s multimedia and lighting technology standards to the car, and in future want to offer the customer scope for free configuration, as the entire surface of the vehicle functions like the display of a multimedia installation, and can be used intelligently and individually, " says Johannes Barckmann, the Head of the EDAG Design Studio.
