Chevrolet Cruze repairs caused conflicts

The plant that builds the Chevrolet Cruze, GM`s Lordstown didn`t use plant workers in order to repair the cars coming off the line. Instead, they took the cars to an outside shop, a fact that unpleased the UAW leadership.
A response released by the Union was saying that a leaflet telling the workers that "management is not your friend" was necessary. They were also suggesting the workers to speak about their discontent to the press.
Yet, local 112 president stated to the press that a solution had been found the very next day. At the same time, General Motors announced that a meeting with the UAW had taken place and a resolution was expected soon.
A factor that could have caused this situation would be that management and labor are under to get the Cruze right.
Let`s just hope the same.
