2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will be revealed in Dallas at the Auto Show

The Dallas Auto Show will be the place Chevrolet will present its new 2012 Camaro ZL1 today.
The first version of the ZL1 was a strong car, with a lot of power as in the '60 and the '70 it had established the trend. The difference between the two is situated under the hood and it contained 430 hp; like a pack of muscles. Anyway for the 1969 ZL1 only 69 models were made.
The 2012 model has another story. It has a 6.2-liter supercharged LSA V-8 engine with 550hp at 6,100 rpm and 745 Nm at around 3,800 rpm.
Another thing to know is that the engine actually belongs to the Cadillac CTS-v. It has a 6-speed manual gearbox, the only one available so far for the ZL1 and Goodyear Supercar F2 tires.
The design of the car and the other elements make the ZL1 perfect for a race car. The carmaker, on the other hand thinks this idea is great and they are looking forward to the final results.
