The new BMW ActiveHybrid 7 gets just $900 tax

The new 7-series
BMW ActiveHybrid is qualified for a tax of $900, due to the Alternative Motor Vehicle provision.
Altough it's a significant "discount", the 7-series
BMW is still very expensive, maintaining it's price tag at over $ 100,000.
This is the 4th
BMW model wich gets this kind of tax, the other models being X6 ActiveHybrid, 335d and the xDrive35d X5.
This model has a 4.4-litre V8 engine, capable of 455 HP, same as the 750i.The electric motorpowers just the electronics in the car, while the stop/start system improves by 15% the fuel economy.
Altough it's a very heavy car, and it's a hybrid, the engine, runned trough a 8-speed transimission, takes this flagship from 0 to 60 mph in just 4,7 seconds.
