UK Alfa Romeo lineup updated

The British division of
Alfa Romeo has been quite active in the last couple of months. After introducing a 2.0 liter JTDM diesel engine that has an output of 170 horsepower and a 1750 TBi petrol engine which develops 200 horsepower for the Alfa Romeo 159, this time they announced two new engines for the
Alfa Romeo Brera coupe and the
Alfa Romeo Spider convertible. A new trim level named ``Italia Independent`` will be available for both models.
The Italia Independent trim level offers a unique matt black titanium finish, 18 inch black opaque turbine design alloy wheels, red brake calipers and
Alfa Romeo 8C inspired aluminum fuel cap. The new trim level will be available for the both the
Alfa Romeo Brera and the
Alfa Romeo Spider equipped with either the new 1750 TBi engine or the top of the range 3.2 liter V6 engine.
The interior of the car equipped with the Italia Independent gets a radio / satellite navigation system with Blue&Me, aluminum sports pedals and foot rest, black sports leather upholstered seats with Italia Independent branded headrests, sports dials, carbon fiber trim inserts as well as a black leather bound steering wheel and gear knob with red stitching.
Both the Alfa Romeo Brera and the Alfa Romeo Spider manage to reach a maximum speed of 235 km/h or 146 mph while going from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 7.7 seconds when equipped with the new 1.75 liter turbocharged four cylinder petrol engine that has an output of 200 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. The Alfa Romeo Spider 1750 TBi will have a price of 27.205 British pounds while the Alfa Romeo Brera 1750 TBi has a price of 25.205 British pounds.
When equipped with the 2.0 liter JTDM turbo diesel engine that has an output of 170 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque available from 1750 revs per minute up to 2500 revs per minute, both the Alfa Romeo Spider and the Alfa Romeo Brera manage to reach a maximum speed of 217 km/h or 135 mph while managing to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.0 seconds.
