First official photos of Alfa Romeo Pandion by Bertone hit the web

Alfa Romeo was founded back in 1910 so this year the Italian automaker celebrates its centennial. A lot of friends of
Alfa Romeo, including Pininfarina, Bertone and ItalDesign have announced that they will create special concepts as homage for the legendary automaker.
Bertone is the first one to show its work, ahead of the world debut that will take place in less than two weeks at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. The name of the Bertone concept is
Alfa Romeo Pandion and some might say that it has certain similarities in terms of design with the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics concept, including front fascia and the far reaching use of glass on the doors. My opinion is that the two concepts are in the same futuristic segment, but the differences between the two are huge. The
Alfa Romeo Pandion by Bertone has a much smoother, typical Italian design.
Until now, there are little details available on the
Alfa Romeo Pandion by Bertone, but rumors claim that the lightweight concept will share the same engine and V8 engine with the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione.
In my opinion, Bertone has managed to capture, at least in part, the essence of the
Alfa Romeo brand, but I have higher expectations from ItalDesign and huge expectations from Pininfarina.
